Steal a Chicken Chicken Tier List

This page ranks Steal a Chicken birds by how you should treat a pen slot. Official media shows a few silhouettes clearly: ordinary white chickens in nests, a green crystal chicken, a rainbow chicken, and a horned purple cosmic brute. Those are the ranks we can defend without inventing names.

If your server has extra labeled mutants, slot them using the same test: egg quality times survival chance. A named secret you drop every night is not S-tier. It is content.

S — Horned purple / Cosmic

The promotional “best egg” chicken. Huge, loud, magenta glow, horns. You steal it from late ground, usually after the Cosmic Zone Speed wall. Park it. Do not parade it. Sell its eggs at the Merchant like it is a job. The whole server can see you own one.

Replace any C-tier bird for this if you have a slot. If you do not have a slot, you stole too early. Pen size is a treadmill problem in disguise: eggs buy slots.

A — Rainbow and crystal

Thumbnail bait. Rainbow eggs in the hero art exist so you path into the Guard. Crystal-green birds sit in the same nest ring. Steal them when:

• You can kite the local Guard with a carry.
• Nobody faster is already on the nest.
• You have a slot that currently holds a white starter.

Do not 50/50 a rainbow against two bats. Read how to protect. An A-tier bird in someone else’s pen does not count as your A-tier.

B — Mid oddities

Anything clearly not a starter and not Cosmic. Ice-looking whites, extra colors, bigger bodies that are not the horned boss. These pay the bills. Fill the pen with them after you have one or two A/S birds. They are the difference between a Merchant trip that buys Speed and a Merchant trip that buys nothing.

If two B birds exist and one came from a safer nest, keep the safer one when you are about to attempt Cosmic. Death tax matters.

C — White starters

First steal in getting started. They exist so the pen is not empty. Keep at least one until an A or B is actually banked. Deleting your last C because it looks boring is how people sit at zero egg income waiting for a rainbow they cannot hold.

C-tier is also bait for other players. If someone bats you for a white chicken, they are broke or trolling. Take the drop if it is free. Do not start a war.

D — Unbankable

If you cannot complete the steal with this bird, it has no tier. Walk away. Night restock will offer another one to someone with Speed.

Replacement order

1. Empty slots.
2. C-tier that survived long enough to be replaced.
3. Duplicate B-tier when an A appears.
4. Never replace an S you can protect just because a thumbnail printed a joke $/s number.

Rank the bird you can keep. The rest is glow.

Egg income only counts while the bird sits. A rainbow you drop three times is worse than a white starter that laid through a whole night. Rank for the pen you actually have, then steal.
